Odyssey Science Center

The Odyssey Science Center located in Tallahassee, Florida, and owned by the Leon County School Board ,included 4-levels, one of which was an Underground Parking Facility. The project was constructed using Cast-in-Place Concrete Columns and Beams, Concrete Masonry Construction, Pre-stressed Concrete, Structural Steel, Pre-Cast Concrete, Coraform Steel Decking, Special Designed and Light Weight Concrete. Exterior finishes included an Insulated Synthetic Textured Finish System, Stucco, Textured Concrete, and Clay Pavers. Interior finishes included a Sweeping Circular Stair Case from the First to Third Floors, Finished Gypsum Board Walls, either Exposed or Acoustical Ceilings, Movable Partitions, and Elevators. The First Floor was utilized as a "Hands-On" continuing science exhibit for K-12 Leon County Students, the Second Floor was for continuing research and experiments, while the Third Floor was for Administrative purposes. Other work included Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Systems, Heating and Air-conditioning, Plumbing, Electrical and Specialized Lighting, Painting, Floor Coverings, Wall Coverings, Site Drainage and Retention, Landscaping, Site Irrigation, and Park-like Sitting Areas..
